Air France-KLM uses technology to increase efforts in SRM
The second largest airline group in Europe will use State of Flux’s supplier management software, Statess, to manage key supplier relationships. This includes key suppliers’ performance, risks, contracts and corporate social responsibility (CSR) compliance. The cloud-based solution will enable Air France-KLM to rapidly ramp up their efforts in supplier relationship management (SRM).
A highly competitive market environment and challenges to deliver value beyond contract negotiation have pushed Air France-KLM to increase its efforts in SRM. As an airline group, they rely heavily on suppliers to deliver their proposition to customers. By managing their supplier relationships more closely they will increase performance and productivity, drive supplier development, reduce and proactively manage supply chain risks, and reinforce compliance.
“At Air France-KLM, we work closely with our suppliers to deliver the best experience for our customers and the best competitive cost level for the Group. Our supplier relationship management initiative helps us to engage with our key suppliers, ensuring a mutual benefit over and above the contracted amount, through joint value creation,” said Peter Schelvis, Group CPO at Air France-KLM. “Statess allows Air France-KLM to improve on supplier performance and collaboration, while supporting innovation.”
Statess is a supplier management platform that has been built over six years, based on client supplier management experience and requirements, and seven years of SRM research. The new partnership with Air France-KLM adds to a fast-growing client base across Europe for Statess. The implementation of the solution is fast and efficient, and will be followed by ongoing support to ensure value is captured through the platform.
