Case study > Financial services group
A financial services organisation wanted to deliver a more co-ordinated and focused procurement service to its group of companies. Its goals were to maximise the value and service received from suppliers while minimising supply risk. To support the achievement of these objectives, it engaged State of Flux on a managed service basis. A capability diagnostic of existing procurement practices and a detailed spend analysis were conducted initially, along with proof-of-concept sourcing pilots.
State of Flux now manages the delivery of the annual procurement savings target on behalf of this client in categories ranging from print services to interim staff. As well as delivering better control and visibility of spend, savings of more than £2 million have already been achieved and the team is on track to hit a target of £4.5 million in annualised savings during 2010.
