Training for Procurement Professionals
State of Flux is dedicated to helping procurement, supply chain and other business functions strengthen their core skills and broaden their influence beyond traditional boundaries. To facilitate this, we provide a comprehensive range of both off-the-shelf and bespoke training courses, including:
Category management. Covers the full range of category manager techniques, from requirements gathering and supply market analysis to strategy creation, cost modelling and supplier selection.
Commercial awareness. Alternatively described as “inside the seller’s head”, this course gives procurement and other business managers valuable insights into how their suppliers’ salespeople operate so that they can maximise their bargaining power.
Contract management. Teaches participants how to manage supplier contracts in a consistent and effective manner in order to reduce risks and increase cost savings.
eSourcing. Harness the benefits of electronic requests for information, quotation and proposal (eRFx) and run successful eAuctions while avoiding the pitfalls of technology-driven processes.
Facilitation through influence. Helps participants to build rapport, engagement and understand personality types so that they can achieve better results with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
Leadership. In this programme, participants learn about leadership traits, assess their own leadership style and identify key areas where they can develop this to fit their working environment.
Negotiation. Participants learn how to communicate and persuade in both simple and complex negotiations, so that they are able to handle even the most difficult scenarios with confidence.
Strategic sourcing / total cost of ownership. Master all the different steps of your organisation’s strategic sourcing process and learn how to evaluate and challenge the total cost of ownership in a particular category or supply chain.
Supplier relationship management. Learn how to manage supplier performance, build trusting relations, develop collaborative styles of working and ensure that your organisation is viewed as a “customer of choice”.
Teambuilding. Using real-life case studies, games, role-plays and other exercises, participants discover why some teams work well while others don’t, enabling them to improve their own teamwork.
