SRM 2010 survey launched

In-depth study aims to benchmark emerging SRM practices globally

LONDON, 26 April 2010 – State of Flux, a leading procurement consultancy, has today launched its 2010 Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) survey, which is designed to reveal the latest trends and leading practices in this emerging discipline. 

The survey looks at how organisations approach SRM and enables them to benchmark where their SRM programmes are in comparison to current best practice. 

It follows a very successful 2009 survey in which over 500 organisations participated.

Commenting on the launch, Alan Day, managing director of State of Flux, said: "We know that SRM remains a hot topic for organisations, and yet creating the business case for change in this area is often challenging.

"All of us understand intuitively that SRM is the right thing to do, but it is difficult to put absolute values on the benefits that can be achieved through an SRM improvement programme.  The output from this survey should further assist in overcoming these obstacles."

Responses are confidential and all participants will receive a free copy of the survey results. Prior to the final report being written, State of Flux plans to run multi-company workshops at which practitioners will be able to discuss the survey findings with their peers.
